Reeta Livilla Kelly, 93

Services for Reeta Livilla Kelly, 93, who died June 9, 1992 at Mercy Hospital in Council Bluffs, Iowa were Thursday, June 11 at Hamel-Peck-Pelan Funeral Home in Tekamah. Rev. Peggy Cooper officiated. Burial was in the Tekamah Cemetery.

Reeta Livilla Kelly was born December 24, 1898 to Ivan D. and Mabel Marr Cram in Tekamah. She married Budd Ross Kelly February 18, 1920.

They lived in Tekamah until 1926 when they moved to Millard where Reeta was the cook in a café where they both worked. In 1928, they moved to Battle Creek, Iowa where they managed a large cattle feeding operation.

They returned to Millard in 1936, then moved to Glenham, South Dakota in 1951 to operate a large cattle ranch. They returned to Tekamah in 1962 where they lived until Budd’s death in 1976.

Reeta then moved to Murray in 1979 to be near her son, Duane. In 1986, she move to Council Bluffs, Iowa and lived next door to her granddaughter until her death.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Budd; one brother; two sisters and one stepsister.

She is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, Ivan D. and Helen Kelly of Darby, Montana; Budd J. and Elizabeth Kelly of Williamson, Georgia; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Casketbearers were Scott Kelly, Gary Cram, Lyle Milacek, Michael Kelly, Jon Mader and Dan Bowland.
