Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 10 at the First Baptist Church in Glenwood with burial in the Glenwood Cemetery for Jon F. Kemp, 59 of Glenwood and formerly of Malvern, Iowa, who died April 6, 1996 from injuries received in a construction accident at Blair.

Visitation will be Tuesday evening at the Mansfield-Hertz Funeral Home from 7:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

Jon F. Kemp was a self-employed business consultant, a farm owner and realtor. He served as mayor of Malvern, Iowa and was a member of the Malvern Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad, the Malvern Gun Club, Malvern Cemetery Board and Glenwood Lions.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra; daughters, Joni Shaw of Omaha, Pam Cyboron of Omaha, Barbara James of San Diego, California; sons, Daniel Kemp of Council Bluffs and Mark Kemp of Mesa, Arizona and eight grandchildren.

Memorials are suggested to the Malvern Volunteer Rescue Squad or Malvern Volunteer Fire Department.
