Services for Leola Evelyn Kemp, 77 who died May 26, 1992 at her home in Gillette, Wyoming following an extended illness with cancer were Friday, May 29 at Noecker Funeral Home Chapel in Gillette. Dr. Tom Phillips of the Gillette First Presbyterian officiated.

Leola Evelyn Kemp was born May 21, 1915 at Kennard to Sherman and Bertha Anderson. She attended country schools in the Kennard area and graduated from the Kennard High School in 1932. She moved to Gillette in 1935.

She served with the Wyoming Golfers Association and the Gillette Women’s International Bowling Congress.

She married Loren Kemp December 26, 1936 in Deadwood, South Dakota. They made their in Gillette.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Elvina; a brother, Nels and one grandchild.

She is survived by her husband, Loren of Gillette; one daughter, Karen Bays of Midwest; two brothers, Roscoe and John Anderson, both of Kennard; three grandchildren; three great-grand-children and numerous nieces and nephews.
