Paul Kempcke Dies Early Today

HAD SPENT PRACTICALLY ENTIRE LIFETIME IN WASHINGTON COUNTY

Paul Kempcke passed away early this morning at Blair hospital following an illness of several years.

Mr. Kempcke was born Aug. 5, 1885, near Bennington, and with the exception of two years residence at Lyons, had spent his entire life in Washington county. On Dec. 22, 1915, he was married to Miss Elvena Andreasen and to this union five children were born, four of whom, together with his widow, survive him.

Surviving him are his wife, four sons, Eldred, Gordon and Arthur, of Blair; Dean, a member of the United States navy; one grandchild; his mother, Mrs. Johann Kempcke of Kennard; two brothers, Otto and Charles, both of Lyons; and four sisters, Mrs. G.E. Kronberg, Mrs. Clyde Rosenbaum and Mrs. Fred Andreasen of Kennard, and Mrs. Lew Webb of Salem, Ore.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 o’clock Sunday afternoon at First Lutheran Church with the pastor, the Rev. H.C. Jorgensen, in charge.

PAUL KEMPCKE RITES SUNDAY

Paul Kempcke, farmer living west of Blair, passed away this Thursday morning after a long illness. Deceased was born and reared in Washington County with the exception of two years spent at Lyons, Nebraska.

He was married to Miss Elvena Andreasen on December 22, 1925, and to this union five children were born, four of whom are still living. They are Eldred, Gordon, Dean and Arthur; and these with the wife are grief-stricken over his death.

Mr. Kempcke became ill in 1942, and although he has had the best of medical care, he never recovered.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday at two o’clock from the first Lutheran Church.
