Myrtle L. Kennell, 74, Lincoln resident, died Monday, Oct. 10, 1988. Born in Blair May 10, 1914. She was a retired school teacher in the Lincoln system for 27 years.

Her parents were Edwin and Esther (Jensen) Gilbertson.

She was a member of the St. Paul United Methodist Church.

Survivors are husband Leonard; sons Roger of Bloomington, Ill.; Gaylen of Lincoln; and daughter Cherly Farmer of Lexington, Ky; sister Charlotte Wilson of Joliet, Ill. and 9 grandchildren.

Services are 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 13 at Roper & Sons Chapel in Lincoln with Dr. C. Rex Bevins officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Memorials may be given to “Make a Wish Foundation.”
