MRS. D. C. KENNICUTT

The “appointed time” of human life is three score years. Sometimes “by reason of strength” three score and ten is reached, to have lived four score years is out of the ordinary.

It was Tuesday afternoon when a number of our people went to Arlington to pay a last tribute of respect to one who had lived in this country and had reached this latter age, nearly forty years of that had been spent here. The subject was Mrs. D. C. Kennicutt who passed away Sunday morning. The large crowd assemble on this occasion was sufficient that the deceased had commanded the respect of all who knew her and we must believe the world is better for such mothers in Israel having lived in it. Rev. Trescott of the M. E. church conducted the funeral service.

Mrs. Kennicutt was one of the oldest settlers of Washington county and an aunt of M. C. Grover of this place.

The Enterprise extends sympathy.
