Former Arlington Lady Died In Fremont

Funeral services for Mrs. Emma A. Kemper, 90, formerly of 530 E 12th St., are pending at Bader-Rozanek-Lawson Colonial Funeral Home. She died Tuesday in a Fremont nursing home.

Born January 19, 1889, in Davison County, South Dakota, Mrs. Kemper had spent the past five years in Fremont. Prior to that she lived in Arlington for quite some time. She was a member of Arlington Community Church and the Women’s Fellowship of the church. She was a retired seamstress.

The daughter of Julius Reier and Caroline Berlfeldt, the former Emma Reier married Henry Kemper on November 29, 1928, in Fremont. He preceded her in death on August 15, 1959, in Arlington.

She is survived by three stepsons, Harry Kemper, Central City; Clarence Kemper, Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas; Albert Kemper, Santa Monica, California; two step-daughters, Mrs. Laura Hawthorne, Santa Monica, California; Mrs. Leis (Beulah) Hunt, Elk city; brother, Melvin Reier, Jefferson City, Mo.; five step-grandchildren, several step-great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, one brother and one stepson.

The Rev. Gerald E. Sens of Arlington Community Church will officiate. Organist will be Mrs. John Katz with Forrest J. Harding as soloist.

A memorial has been established for Arlington Community Church.
