Pearl Kern, 70

Funeral services for Pearl Kern age 70 of Blair, who died at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair January 3, 1991 after suffering a heart attack were held 10:30 a.m. Monday, January 7 at First Lutheran Church. Burial was in the Blair Cemetery.

Pearl Jenny was born on August 20, 1920 at Leigh, Nebraska to Andrew and Olga “Loseke” Jenny. She attended District No. 43 School in Platte County and graduated from Leigh High School.

She moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin and lived there until moving to Columbus, Nebraska in 1958. In 1959 she moved to Blair and resided here until her death.

She was married to George Kern. He preceded her in death in December 1973.

She was employed as a cook for various restaurants in Blair and was a seamstress for many people in the Blair and surrounding area. She was a member of First Lutheran Church and the Blair Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary.

Pearl was preceded in death by her husband, George and her parents.

She is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, Bob and Lisa Delaney, Blair, Nebraska; Dave Delaney, Valley, Nebraska; one daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and don Howland, Omaha, Nebraska; four grandchildren, Matthew, Jacob, Joshua and Abby Delaney. She is also survived by two brothers, Jerome (Bud) Jenny, Blair, Elmer (Fox) Jenny, Dallas, Texas; two sisters, Bernice (Mrs. Ray) Groack, Phoenix, Arizona and Jo (Mrs. Henry) Hefti, of Clarkson, Nebraska.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
