Robert F. Kersey Sr., 72

Former Blair resident Robert F. Kersey Sr., 72, died April 11, 2008, in Colorado Springs, Colo.

A memorial service was held April 19 at the Friendship Assembly of God in Colorado Springs.

Robert Frank Kersey was born June 25, 1935, in Jasper County, Mo., to Ralph and Jessie Kersey. He lived in Blair, graduating from Blair High School in 1953.

He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, serving his country for four years.

He is survived by his wife, Jessie Ruth, whom he married on Dec. 25, 1957; sons and daughter-in-law, Robert F. Kersey Jr., and Jayson Boyd and Amy Kersey; daughter and son-in-law, Cynthia Joane and Michael Caton; six grandchildren; sisters and brothers-in-law, Erma and Ronnie Hansen of Blair, Merreta and Bill Eldred, and Joyce Kersey; brother and sister-in-law, James and Pamela Kersey.
