Funeral services were Wednesday, May 30 at St. Columbkille Catholic Church in Papillion for Mary Ellen Kersten, 60 of Papillion who died at Midlands Community Hospital in Papillion May 27, 1990. Burial was in Forest Lawn Cemetery.

Mary Ellen Kersten was born October 5, 1929 to George and Florence Moeller Wedige. She was a retired secretary for H. P. Smith.

Her husband, Calvin, preceded her in death in 1973.

She is survived by two sons, Mark, Blair and Gregory of Maryland; one daughter, Laurie Kersten, Papillion; two sisters, Betty Vlach and Patricia Bouska; a brother, Donald Wedige, and four grandchildren, Jenee Weber, Jeffrey Weber, Amber Kersten, and Matthew Kersten.

Kahler-Dolce Funeral Home in Papillion was in charge of arrangements for the services.
