MRS. ROBERT MENKING DIED IN VIRGINIA

Word has been received of the death of Edith W. Menking, Nee Edith Schonert, of Annandale, Virginia, on April 19. Services were held at Hope Lutheran Church in Annandale on April 22. She is survived by her husband, Robert C. Menking, formerly of Arlington, Nebraska, of Annandale; two sons, Robert of Little Rock, Arkansas, and Roger of Annandale; a daughter Barbara also of Annandale; granddaughter, Christine Menking, Little Rock, Arkansas. Also surviving are five brothers and a sister of Little Rock, Arkansas.

Mrs. Menking was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Bonnie in 1945.

Robert is a son of former Arlington residents, the late Alfred Menking and Esther (Carlson) Menking, now residing at Azusa, California. He is a nephew of Mrs. Adeline Taylor of Blair. Mrs. Taylor’s grandson, Kenneth Taylor, was a casket bearer. Burial was in Arlington National Cemetery on Monday, April 23.
