MRS. MENKING DIED AT FORT MORGAN
Mrs. Evelyn Lavina Menking died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Joyce Simpson of S. Star Route, Fort Morgan. She was 76.
Mrs. Menking was born December 22, 1898, in Arlington, Nebraska. She came to Colorado from Nebraska in 1916 and was married to Roy E. Menking in Fort Morgan March 28, 1923. They were longtime residents of the Victor community and moved into Fort Morgan in 1949. Her husband died December 22, 1973.
In addition to her daughter, Mrs. Menking is also survived by a son, Ronald of Fort Morgan; two brothers, Henry Gilfry of Mountain Grove, Missouri and Harold of New Raymer; six grandchildren and one great-grandson.
Funeral services were conducted Friday at the Jolliffe Chapel with Rev. Harry Randall III officiating. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery. Friends who wish may contribute to the heart fund.
