RUPERT MENKING HAS DIED IN CALIFORNIA

Word has been received by relatives in Arlington of the death of Rupert Menking, former Arlington resident. He died on November 1 in a Whittier, California, hospital at the age of sixty-six years, after an illness of several months.

Mr. Menking was born in Washington County and attended the Arlington Public School. He was in business for several years in Lincoln, Nebraska and in Fremont before moving to California.

Funeral services were held in Montebello, California on November 5, with burial in Rose Hills Memorial Cemetery at Whittier. Survivors in this area include two sisters, Mrs. Maude Hall and Mrs. Elsie Keeler; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Lulu Menking; and several nieces and nephews.
