Mrs. Frank Smith

Mrs. Frank Smith, a daughter of the late Veteran L.L. Wagers, was buried in the Fort Calhoun cemetery August 15, 1913, near her father and one of her children. She was born on Washington’s birthday, 1874, and was married to Frank Smith at Columbus October 12, 1894. She was the mother of two children. One, a son, Loyd, survives her. For a number of years, with her husband and son, she has lived in their pretty cottage on the east side. She was a good wife and mother and one of the quietest women in the city. She also leaves her mother, Mrs. L. L. Wagers, two grown brothers, Harry of Minneapolis, Minn., and Ira of Ft. Calhoun, three married sisters, Mrs. Huff of Meadow Grove, Mrs. Doyle of Omaha, and Mrs. Wollesson of Ft. Calhoun.

We were absent from the city during the funeral that was held in the Presbyterian church, but learn there was a good attendance. Sermon by Rev. Lytle of Blair, and Mrs. Anna Roberts presided at the organ.

Among others present were Charles Smith and wife of Randolph, and Mrs. Doyle of Omaha.

The Wagers and Smith families both wish to express thanks for the flowers and kindness from numerous friends.
