William R. “Bill” Hardy, 84

William R. “Bill” Hardy, 84, of Omaha, formerly of Fort Calhoun, died Monday, Feb. 9, 2015.

Services are 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 13, at St. Leo’s Catholic Church, 1920 N. 102nd St., Omaha. Entombment will be in Resurrection Mausoleum in Omaha. Visitation is 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 12, at Roeder Mortuary, 2727 N. 108th St., Omaha, with a prayer service at 7 p.m.

William R. Hardy was born Dec. 23, 1930. He lived in Fort Calhoun for several years.

He was a USN-USNR Korean War veteran.

He had retired from Mutual of Omaha as second vice president after 38 years.

He was a lifetime member of VFW Post 181 and a member of American Legion Post 1.

He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Virginia M.; daughter Debra Ann (Terry) Webber; grandson Dr. Barry (Cara) Webber; great-grandchildren: Hallie, Liam, Ethan, Amalie and Hyrum; sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, nieces, nephews and many friends.

He was preceded in death by parents Edward and Donzella.

Memorials may be directed to the family to be decided later.
