Kennard High School Senior Buried Last Sunday

Byrle Bailey, Kennard High School Senior, succumbed to an attack of Polio last Thursday night, five days after being stricken. The 16-year-old lad was the county’s first fatality of polio this year.

Deceased was born May 4, 1933 in Omaha. His mother died the following day and his father, Ben Bailey, died eight years ago. His stepmother, Mrs. L. J. He has one brother, Robert, 24, of Omaha, who is living and a number of other relatives. Byrle was a good student and a favorite among his schoolmates and in his home, he will be missed.

Funeral services were held Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at the Campbell Mortuary with Father Stilwell officiating and interment was made in the Blair cemetery.
