August 14, 1986 - February 1, 2015

Cory R. Dattolico, age 28, of Fremont, died Sunday morning (Febr. 1, 2015) at the Fremont Health Medical Center.

Cory was born August 14, 1986 in Fremont to Tony and Julie (Nichols) Dattolico. He lived his early years in Fremont attending Washington Elementary School, then moved with his family to Fontanelle and began attending school in Arlington. He graduated from Arlington High School, then moved to Minnesota and attended Minnesota West Technical School in Worthington, Minnesota. While in Minnesota, he became engaged to Kortney Nelson. They moved to Fontanelle, and then to Fremont in 2012.

While living in Fremont, Cory has been employed by Midland Mechanical out of Omaha as a pipe fitter/plumber. His work took him to various cities in this near Nebraska/Iowa area.

Survivors: fiancee’ – Kortney Nelson, and their 2 children Lillian Lynn and Carson Ray Dattolico; parents – Tony and Julie Dattolico of Fontanelle; grandmother – Juanita Watkins of Sioux City, Iowa; grandfather – Anthony Dattolico of Boulder, Nevada; God parents – Tony and Denise Nichols, Darryl Peters, and Marian Peters; Kortney’s parents – Connie Nelson of Mountain Lake, MN; David Nelson of Hanska, MN; Kortney’s grandparents – Douglas and Janet Broten of Mountain Lake, MN; Diane Studer of Mankato, MN; Norman and Esther Nelson of Mountain Lake, MN

He was preceded by his sister Amber Lynn Dattolico, grandparents: Sally Dattolico, Jack and Elaine Nichols, Earl Watkins, great grandparents: Ray and Myrtle Weidert, Harry and Delphine Mischke.

The funeral service will be 10 AM Saturday (February 7, 2015) at Salem Lutheran Church of Fontanelle with the Rev. Robert Hayden. The committal will follow in Salem Lutheran Cemetery at Fontanelle. Visitation at the Ludvigsen Mortuary in Fremont will be on Friday from 3 to 8 PM. Memorials are suggested to the family and the Heart Research Program at the Rochester Clinic in Rochester, N.Y. (a program Cory is involved in).
