AGNES R. STABEN, 96

Agnes R. Staben, 96, of Blair, died Tuesday , Sept. 19, 2006, at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair.

Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 22, at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Home Chapel. Interment will be in the Blair Cemetery.

Agnes R. Staben was born Sept. 1, 1910 at Gresham to Louis and Anna (Wolfe) Dey. She attended schools in Fort Calhoun.

On April 15, 1944, she married Arthur Staben at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Omaha. They lived in Fort Calhoun until 1980, when they moved to Blair.

Mrs. Staben enjoyed crossword puzzles and embroidery.

She is survived by her sister, Lucille Eggelston of Plattsmouth; sister-in-law, Laura Dey of Fort Calhoun; brother-in-law, Roland Smith Jr. of Blair; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur, in 2000; four brothers, Harold, Arnold, Carlos and Donald Dey; and two sisters, Nadine Nord and Marjorie Smith.

Memorials are suggested to Good Shepherd Home or Trinity Lutheran Church in Blair.
