Note: she is listed in Blair cemetery records as Bernice Smith, and is buried by her husband, Prentice Smith. It may be that she went by her middle name.

Mrs. P. Smith Dies Suddenly Tuesday

Mrs. Prentice Smith passed away at her home of 337 South 17th Street on January 14, 1964.

Grace Bernice Warrick was born to Mr. and Mrs. Lincoln Warrick on July 2, 1887. On November 8, 1905 she was married to Prentice Smith. They lived in Hamburg, Iowa two years before moving to a farm north of Blair. In the fall of 1949 they moved to their home on South 17th Street.

Her husband died on October 18, 1956. She is survived by a number of cousins in Blair and California.

Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. at the First Baptist Church on Friday, January 17th. The Rev. Gilbert Reiland will officiate. The Campbell Mortuary is in charge of arrangements and burial will be in the Blair Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Harry Tyson, Ned Tyson, A.R. Beales, Ernest Thornblad, Stuart Maurer and Carroll Thornberg.
