Hazel Smith

Hazel L. Smith died at Iowa Methodist Hospital November 11, 1987.

She was born at Genoa, and received her nurse’s training at Immanuel Hospital in Omaha. She was a registered nurse.

Hazel lived 20 years in the Nevada, Iowa area before moving to Blair.

She worked at Memorial Community Hospital for 11 years. She was a member of the Eagles.

The last four years she made her home with Dick and Betty Henry in Pleasant Hill, Iowa.

She donated her body to the University of Nebraska Medical Center.

There will be a memorial service at 2 p.m. November 22, 1987 at the First Presbyterian Church, 3100 Easton Blvd., Des Moines, Iowa, 50317.
