WILLIAM STACK

Services for William Stack of Arlington were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, February 24, 1987, at the Arlington Community Church.

Rev. Robert Saunders officiated at the service. Burial was at Memorial Cemetery in Fremont.

Organist was Mrs. Kay Voss, and

Mrs. Michelle Dortch was the soloist. Pallbearers were Wayne Scheer, Paul Menking, William Miller, Gene Bastian, Howard Scheer and Leonard Wulf.

Stack, 83, died February 22 at Dodge County Memorial Hospital, Fremont.

He was born November 17, 1903 in South Bend, Nebraska.

On March 24, 1928, he married Emma Blanchard in Fremont. She died February 2, 1963.

Stack retired as a maintenance man from the Campbell Soup Company in 1963.

He also helped develop and worked as a sexton for several years at Memorial Cemetery in Fremont when it was first developed.

He lived in the Fremont area until 1963, when he moved to Arlington.

Stack was preceded in death by his parents, William and Ada (Smith) Stack; his wife Emma; four brothers, Jess, Less, Theodore and Robert Stack; and a sister, Stella Morse.

Survivors include a son, Billy, of Casper, Wyoming; a daughter, Mrs. Jerry (Lila) Dortch of Arlington; a brother, Paul of North Bend; a sister, Mrs. Ada Cepuran of Fremont; 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Reckmeyer-Moser Funeral Home of Arlington was in charge of the arrangements.

ARLINGTON - - William A. Stack, 83, of Arlington died Sunday at Memorial Hospital of Dodge County. He was a retired Campbell Soup Co. maintenance man.

He was born Nov. 17, 1903, in South Bend. He helped develop and worked as a sexton for several years at Memorial Cemetery when it was first developed. He lived in the Fremont area until 1963 when he moved to Arlington.

He married Emma Blanchard March 24, 1928, in Fremont. She died Feb. 2, 1963.

Survivors include one son, Billy of Casper, Wyo.; one daughter, Mrs. Jerry (Lila) Dortch of Arlington; one brother, Paul of North Bend; one sister, Mrs. Ada Cepuran of Fremont; 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Arlington Community Church. The Rev. Robert Saunders will officiaite. Visitation is in progress at Reckmeyer-Moser Funeral Home in Arlington. Burial will be in Memorial Cemetery.
