Carolyn Ann (Stokes) Standen, 56, of Omaha, died Tuesday, Aug. 25, 1998, at Bergan Mercy Hospital in Omaha.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church in Blair. Burial will be in the Herman Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home.

Carolyn Ann Stokes was born on Aug. 16, 1942 in Blair to Earl and Doris (Christiansen) Stokes. She was baptized at an early age and later was confirmed at the Methodist Church in Walthill.

The family moved from Walthill in 1953. She attended Blair High School and graduated in 1960.

She worked for Kelly Ryan Equipment Company as a secretary.

She moved to Omaha in 1962 and was employed at several places, including the Nebraska Credit Union League and Ramada Inn.

On Aug. 16, 1964, she married Daryl Jack Standen in Blair.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly Joy and Jon Arrington of Omaha; two grandchildren, Nickolas and Mikayla; and her parents, Earl and Doris Stokes of Blair.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
