BYRON APPLEBY, 70

Funeral services for Byron James Appleby, 70, of Lake Havasu City, Arizona, were held November 12, 1987, at Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.

Havasu Lodge 64 F & AM officiated the services.

He died November 9, 1987, at Havasu Nursing Home.

He was born September 18, 1917, in Kennard.

An instructor in the US Army Air Corps during World War II, he worked as a self-employed aviator.

He also operated the Alliance and Scottsbluff Airports between 1952-62.

He moved to Arizona 13 years ago from Blair. He was a member of the 32nd degree of Builders Lodge 60 F & AM in Tucson.

He is survived by wife Helen L. Appleby of Lake Havasu City; son Jimmy Appleby of Las Vegas, Nevada; daughters Carol Kelley of Gretna, Shirley Kelley of Omaha and Lorinda Evans of Lake Havasu City; step-daughter Janice West of Tucson, step-sons Edward Olson of Denver, Colorado; Terry Olson of Mesa, Arizona; Robert Olson of Hemingford; sister Pearl Livermore of Reeds Springs, Missouri, 16 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
