GERTRUDE STANLEY

Services for Gertrude B. Stanley, 87 who died Friday, April 18, at Crowell Home in Blair, were held Tuesday, April 22, at the Roeder Mortuary in Omaha. Burial was in the Hillcrest Cemetery in Omaha.

Mrs. Stanley was born May 19, 1898 in Omaha, to Thomas A. and Christine Springborg Bessey. She married Joseph F. Stanley on May 19, 1922. He died October 8, 1981.

She was a member of Bensonvale Covenant Church in Omaha.

She retired as an operator from Northwestern Bell in 1961 and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America.

Surviving are three daughters, Juanita M. Miller and Gladys J. Stone of Omaha; Arlene Stanley of Lincoln; one son, Richard F. Stanley of Lewistown, Montana; son-in-law, Clayton L. Miller and daughter-in-law, Avis Stanley; 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; one brother, Bert Bessey of Omaha.

Memorials may be given to the Crowell Home.
