Grace Smith, 75, Died Here Sunday

Grace Smith, lifetime Blairite, who lived her entire life at Nineteenth and Lincoln Streets, died Sunday in Memorial Community Hospital. She was 75 years old.

Miss Smith was born October 28, 1890, the daughter of an early-day business man, at 1864 Lincoln Street. She grew to womanhood at that location and as a young woman entered the employ of the Thomas Kilpatrick store in Omaha. Although she was working in Omaha, she maintained her home here and returned regularly.

She was an active member of the First Baptist Church and took part in many of the church organizational activities when she was a younger woman.

She has been retired for many years and lived with her sister, Miss Frances Smith until her death several years ago. She is survived by a brother, William F. Smith, of Omaha.

Funeral services will be held this (Thursday) afternoon at the First Baptist Church. The Rev. Joel Kemmerer will conduct the services and the Bendorf Funeral Home will be in charge of interment in the Blair cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Robert Harrison, Robert McMillan, Scott Robeson, Abe Warrick, Kermit Goll and Hjalmer Quist.
