Robert L. Sokoloski, 62

Retired Master Sgt. Robert L. Sokoloski, 62, of Omaha, died Feb. 21, 2001 at Immanuel Fontanelle Nursing Home in Omaha.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 24 at Westlawn-Hillcrest Funeral Home. The Rev. Terry Pool will officiate. Interment will be at Westlawn-Hillcrest Memorial Park. Military honors will be provided by Benson V.F.W. Post #2503.

Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 23 at the funeral home, with the family receiving friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Robert L. Sokoloski was born May 11, 1938 in Eveleth, Minn., to Helen and Frank Sokoloski.

Mr. Sokoloski retired from the U.S. Air Force after 23 years of dedicated service.

He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Sandy Sokoloski of Omaha, and sons, Tim Sokoloski of Lincoln and Robbie Sokoloski of Iowa, a daughter and son-in-law, Theresa and Jim Bradbury, and a daughter, Tina Russell, all of Omaha; a sister and brother-in-law, Marie and John Lund of Makinen, Minn., sister, Dorothy Smith of Blair, and a brother, Mike Oklak of Eveleth, Minn., six grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and by a brother, Daniel.

Westlawn-Hillcrest Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
