SERVICES HELD IN WISCONSIN FOR LOIS SORENSEN

Funeral services were held at First Lutheran Church in Eau Claire, Wisconsin on Wednesday, December 17, for Lois L. Sorensen, 59, 3614 Tamarack Lane, Eau Claire, who died on December 13, 1980, at Luther Hospital in Eau Claire.

Lois Carlsen was born in Royal, Iowa, and grew up in Blair, Nebraska, where she graduated from high school and attended Dana College. She married Dr. Harold Sorensen on May 30, 1944 and they moved to Eau Claire in 1950.

She was past president of American Lutheran Church Women of First Lutheran in Eau Claire; Luther Hospital Auxiliary; Eau Claire Medical Auxiliary; Visiting Nurse Association; and P.E.O.; and was a board member of Lutheran Social Services of Wisconsin and Upper Michigan.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Jane Poquette, Sarasota, Florida; two sons, Richard, Minneapolis; Steven, Washington, D.C.; and a grandson, Tommy Poquette. Three sisters: Esther Hansen, Audubon, Iowa; Rhoda Holl, Spokane, Washington; Eunice Larsen, Cedar Falls, Iowa; and five brothers, Alvin Carlsen, Shenandoah, Iowa; R____ Verner Carlsen, Thousand Oaks, California; Viggo Carlsen, Omaha; Rev. Stanley Carlsen, Des Moines, Iowa; and Rev. Niels Carlsen, Aptos, California also survive.

Mrs. Joe (Sarah) Andersen and David Carlsen of Blair are her niece and nephew.
