ARLINGTON COUPLE LEARNS OF DEATH OF SON AND WIFE

Mr. and Mrs. Otis Archer of Arlington have been notified of the death of their son and his wife of Spokane, Washington.

The two were drowned when the mast of a sailboat they were running touched a low-hanging high-voltage wire over the lake near Spokane.

The victims were identified as Norbert Archer, 38 and his wife, Rosalie, 37 of Moses Lake, Washington. They are survived by six children ranging in age from one to sixteen.

Officials said the accident occurred Sunday. The sailboat was found near the wires with the radio in the boat still playing. The bodies were not found until Wednesday.

Mr. Archer is town Marshal at Arlington.
