NIELS SORENSEN, LONG TIME FARMER, DIED LAST SUNDAY

Niels Sorensen, a long time farmer in Washington County and, until his death, a resident of the Good Shepherd Home, died at the home last Saturday, November 17th. He was 84 years of age, having been born in Horsen, Denmark, September 14, 1890.

He farmed west of Blair but has been a resident of Good Shepherd for about a year. His wife, Emma, preceded him in death on July 20, 1956.

He is survived by a son, Richard Sorensen of Blair and by a daughter, Mrs. LeRoy Cuddy (Darlene) of Lincoln. There are seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A brother, John Sorensen, lives in Fremont.

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the First Lutheran Church. The Rev. Robert Albers conducted the service and burial was made in the Blair Cemetery under the direction of the Bendorf Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were Jack Jensen, Donald Rasmussen, Richard Svendgard, Ivan Larsen, Richard Robeson and Gustav Rolland.
