Services were Mon. Dec. 16 at the Hamel-Peck-Pelan Funeral Home in Tekamah for Ruth Atha Kindler, 89, who died Dec. 11, 1996 at the Memorial Community Hospital in Blair. Rev. Charles W. Mills. Burial will be in the Tekamah Cemetery.

Ruth Atha Kindler was born March 10, 1907 in Arlington to Delmer and Drusilla Stewart McCann. She attended Arlington High School.

She was an antique dealer.

She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and the Order of Eastern Star Chapter No. 131 of Tekamah.

She married Dorsey J. Kindler December, 1922 at Fremont.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dorsey and a sister, Beth McCann Peterson Dugan.

Charyn Mills was organist. Tracy Kindler was vocalist.

Casket bearers were Tom Kindler, Bryan Kindler, David Kindler, Joe Kindler, Paul Kindler, John Kindler, Bernard Pipher and Dennis Kjeldgaard.

Memorials may be directed to First Presbyterian Church in Tekamah.
