RICHARD N. SORENSEN, 90

Richard N. Sorensen, 90, of Blair, died Friday, May 23, 2008, at Crowell Memorial Home in Blair.

Funeral services were Wednesday, May 28, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Orum.

Richard N. Sorensen was born Feb. 10, 1918, in Fremont to Niels and Emma (Fadschild) Sorensen. He was baptized and confirmed at First Lutheran Church in Fremont.

On Aug. 11, 1944, he married LaVerne Paulsen.

Mr. Sorensen lived and farmed most of his entire life in Washington County. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church at Orum.

He is survived by his daughters and son-in-law, Marian and Rick Hansen and Linda L. Hansen; and son, Harold R. Sorensen, all of Blair; five grandchildren and spouses; four great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; one step-great-great-grandchild; sister Darlene Cuddy of Lincoln; numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, LaVerne in 1984; and son-in-law, Jerald Hansen.

Memorials are suggested to Immanuel Lutheran Church or Lincoln Lutheran Cemetery at Orum.

Services 10:30 AM Wed., Immanuel Lutheran Church. Burial Lincoln Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will begin 1 PM Tues, with a Prayer Service at 7 PM. Memorials may be directed to Immanuel Lutheran Church or Lincoln Lutheran Cemetery.
