EARLY BLAIR POSTMISTRESS DIED MONDAY

BURIAL AT FORT CALHOUN

Miss Cara Clark, 85, who in 1884 became Blair’s first and only postmistress and the fourth person to be in charge of the local post office, died in Omaha Monday at the Florence Home for the Aged.

Funeral services, with the Sievers Funeral Home in charge, were held at 2 p.m. yesterday at the Fort Calhoun Presbyterian Church, interment following in Fort Calhoun Cemetery.

Daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Elias Hick Clark, territorial pioneers, Miss Clark was born at Fort Calhoun May 30, 1857.
