Edgar C. Clausen, long time resident of the Blair vicinity, died in Omaha Tuesday, April 21st. For many years he was a painter here. He was 85 years old.

Mr. Clausen was born August 24, 1878 at Admah, Nebraska, a neighborhood in the northwest part of Washington County. As a young man he moved to Blair and established himself as a painter. For many years he lived on an acreage south of Blair on U.S. 30 just opposite the present Husker Bowl bowling alley.

His wife preceded him in death.

He is survived by a son, Howard, who still lives in Blair and carries on as a painter and decorator, a son Leroy, of Omaha and by three daughters. They are Mrs. Crystal Eggleston and Mrs. Marion Strong both of California and Leona Clausen of Omaha.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 27th at the Campbell Mortuary at 2 P.M. Burial will be made in the Blair Cemetery.
