MRS. HANNAH LOUISE KING

Mrs. Hanah Louise King, a resident of Blair for many years, passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Mable Miller of 9th and Park streets, Sunday morning, Feb. 8, after an illness of two years.

Hannah Louise Buckmaster was born in Claytren County, Ohio, March 9, 1854 and moved with her parents to Iowa when a small child. She was married to Burwell King, January 1869 and to them eleven children were born, one dying in infancy.

She is survived by her husband, four sons, Abner and James of Blair, Thomas of Kilgore and George of Concord, Neb. and six daughters, Mrs. Mary Reynolds, Mrs. Mable Miller and Mrs. Sidney Gilliland of Blair, Mrs. Elvira Moore of Sioux City, Mrs. Sarah Stubbs and Mrs. Martha Hall of Kilgore, Neb. She is also survived by one grandson, Everett King, whom she reared. She has sixty-nine grandchildren and forty three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at the Christian church Wednesday afternoon, Feb. 11, with Rev. Harrgett officiating. A number of the young men from Dana College assisted with the music. Burial was made in the local cemetery.

We wish especially to thank the minister and the Dana College young people who called so often on our mother and comforted her. The Children.
