Services for Darrell J. King, 60 of Blair who died November 16, 1994 at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair were Saturday, November 19 at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home in Blair. Burial was in the Herman Cemetery.

Darrell J. King was born February 24, 1934 at Tekamah, Nebraska to Floyd and Hazel Warren King. He grew up and attended school in Tekamah.

He moved to Omaha in 1956. He was employed through Local 1140 at the Omaha Public Power District Power Plant and by Ogden Construction until he became disabled.

He married Jeanette Mickel in Tekamah December 13, 1960. They had lived in Blair since 1968.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Keith and one sister, Geraldine Doyen.

He is survived by his wife, Jeanette; daughters and sons-in-law, Paula and Jon Oltjenbruns, Arlington and Darla and Ben Scherer, Blair and a son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Jodi King of Missouri Valley, Iowa; five grandchildren, Dalton King, Dylan King, Justin Scherer, Jerron Oltjenbruns and McKenzie Oltjenbruns; two brothers, Donald King of Omaha and Richard King of Craig, Nebraska; two sisters, Ruth O’Brien, Rialto, California and June Tramner of Craig and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
