Kinnison

Services for Eugene R. Kinnison, 75, who died June 6, 1985, in the Good Shepherd Home, were Monday, June 10 at 10:30 a.m. in the First Baptist Church. Burial was in the Blair Cemetery and the Rev. Alan Howe officiated.

Kinnison was born Dec. 22, 1909, in Stratton, Nebr., the son of Clyde and Flora Kinnison. He married Janetta Harmon March 6, 1937, in Topeka, Kan.

He attended school in Wymore and went on to college at Peru State College. He attended the College of Mortuary Science in Kansas City, Kan. and moved to Blair in 1949. He operated Bendorf Funeral Home until he retired in 1978.

Kinnison was a member of the First Baptist Church of Blair, the First Masonic Lodge, the Blair Odd Fellows, Rotary and Eagles.

He is survived by his wife of Blair; one daughter, Deborah Aten of St. Francis, Kan.; his mother, Flora of Central City; a brother, C. B. Kinnison of Sun City, Calif.; and three grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Bob Gahan, Gordon Kucera, William McAthie, Kurt Adkins, Ed Moser, Rod Rozanek, Richard Sievers and Patrick Aten. Organist was Katy Flynn and vocalists were Clyde Sappenfield and Clare Cowing.

Memorials may be made to the Nebraska Children’s Home in Omaha.
