BROTHER OF BLAIR WOMAN DIED SUNDAY

Funeral services were held yesterday (Wednesday) for Edward H. Kirby, of Nickerson, Nebraska, following his unexpected death at his home in Nickerson last Sunday morning. Mr. Kirby was a brother of Mrs. E.S. Tripp, of Blair.

The deceased was born at Hugoton, Kansas in 1888 and spent his childhood in Richmond, Indiana. Later he moved to Hebron, Nebraska. He was married to Anna Werschey in 1911. She died in 1919. In 1944 he was married to Viola Sievers, of Scribner.

He was employed at Western Electric in Lincoln before retiring in 1953 to an acreage in Nickerson. He was a member of the village board at Nickerson and took an active interest in civic affairs.

He is survived by his widow, by four daughters and by a son, none of whom have ever lived in this vicinity and by his sister, Mrs. Tripp. Two sisters, Mrs. Emery Howard and Iva Kirby, preceded him in death.
