Mary Jane Kirk, 86

Mary Jane Kirk, 86, of Blair, died Sunday, Aug 31, 2008, at Crowell Memorial Home in Blair.

Funeral services were Thursday, Sept. 4, at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home. Interment was in the Blair Cemetery.

Mary Jane Stricklett was born Aug. 5, 1922, in Blair to Frank and Leota (Campbell) Stricklett.

On Feb. 9, 1940 she married Roy G. Kirk in Tekamah.

Mrs. Kirk was a lifelong resident of Blair. She enjoyed cooking and was known by her family for delicious homemade noodles. She loved her grandchildren.

She is survived by her sons, Wayne, of Omaha, and Roy, of Blair; daughter, Lou Jean Dady of Spokane, Wash.; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a sister, Margaret Keeran of Omaha.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy, in August 1987; a great-granddaughter, Lyndsey; sisters, Celia Kiefer, Ada King, Phyllis Madsen; brothers, Pete, Raymond and Claude Stricklett. ~~~ Obituary courtesy of the Washington County Genealogical Society.
