Services for Roy G. Kirk, 65, of Blair will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, August 28, 1987, at Campbell Funeral Home in Blair. Rev. Dennis Maaske will officiate. Burial will follow in the Blair Cemetery.

Kirk died August 25, 1987, at Veteran’s Hospital in Omaha.

He was born in Blair July 22, 1922, to Earl Edward and Gladys (Halstead) Kirk. He attended school in Blair; worked for Kelly Ryan for 30 years; owned and operated a service station; sold cars for Blair Motor Company, and for the last number of years, worked at Vinton Motors.

On February 29, 1940, he married Mary Jane Stricklett in Tekamah. They made their home in Blair.

She survives as do sons Wayne G. Kirk of Arlington; Roy Kirk, Jr., of Blair, and daughter Lou Jean Dady of Spokane, Washington, and eight grandchildren. Also surviving are brothers Earl Kirk of Stockton, California, and Junior Kirk of Santa Rosa, California.
