Teola “Tillie” Davis, 93

Teola “Tillie” Davis, 93, of Blair, died Tuesday, March 10, 2015, at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair.

A memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 21, at First Presbyterian Church in Tekamah. Burial will be in Tekamah Cemetery. A memorial gathering will be 5-7 p.m. Friday, March 20, at Pelan Funeral Home in Tekamah.

Memorials are suggested to the family.

Teola Faye “Tillie’ Davis, 93

Teola Faye “Tillie” Davis, 93, of Blair, died Tuesday, March 10, 2015, at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair following a short illness.

A memorial service is 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 21, at First Presbyterian Church in Tekamah. Interment will be in the Tekamah Cemetery. A memorial gathering will be 5-7 p.m. Friday at Pelan Funeral Home in Tekamah.

Tillie was born to frank and Bessie (Wildman) McAllister on Feb. 20, 1922, in Decatur.

Tillie lived with her parents and four siblings in Burt County, where she completed her education.

On Dec. 7, 1941, Tillie was married to George William “Bill” Davis in Tekamah. They lived in Burt County their entire married life. Tillie was a homemaker, and took pride in keeping a clean home and cooking. Her greatest joy, however, was in spending time with her family. Following Bill’s death, Tillie moved to Blair, where she still lived at the time of her death.

She is survived by her children: Gary (Ila) Davis, Judy Davis, all of Papillion, Jim (Sheryl) Davis, of Castle Rock, Colo., and Linda Chatt (Larry Harmon) of Beemer; sister-in-law Myra White; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Bill in August 1999; two brothers; and two sisters.

Memorials are suggested to the family.
