Services for Lucille Spanton, 76 of Blair who died at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home Feb. 12, 1997 will be 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 15 at First Lutheran Church. Burial will be in West Lawn Cemetery in Omaha.

Lucille J. Spanton was born Sept. 3, 1920 at Humboldt, Nebr., to Ben and Mae Scott Philpot. She graduated from Ravenna High School in 1937.

On Nov. 1, 1947 she married Lawrence Dunham in Omaha. He preceded her in death in 1979.

She married Dwaine Spanton in Oklahoma Feb. 10, 1987. He preceded her in death Feb. 10, 1990.

She had lived in Nebraska City, St. Joseph, Mo.; California; Florida, and Omaha. She had been in Blair since 1969.

She was an underwriter with Woodman of the World Life Co. for 10 years. She also worked at Loyal’s Food Center.

She was a member of First Lutheran Church, the Blair Aerie of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and Eagles Auxiliary for many years.

In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Vern Scott; and two stepchildren, Emily Hyde and Lawrence Dunham, Jr.

She is survived by her children, Patrick L. Dunham and Michael D. Dunham, both of Blair; Debra J. Gloden, Vermillion, SD; step-children, Lowell Dunham, Philippines; Elaine Galbraith, Omaha; Max Dunham, Yuma, Ariz.; Howard Spanton, Omaha; and Ida Mae Nouzovsky, Central City, Nebr.; seven grandchildren; two sisters, Omadeen Dillon, Omaha and Velma Jensen, Cozad, Nebr. and a brother, Ralph Philpot, Raytown, Mo.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
