LUCILLE SPANTON IS BURIED IN BLAIR

Funeral services were Tuesday, September 6, at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church in Blair for Lucille Margaret Spanton, 67, who died September 3, 1983 in Immanuel Hospital in Omaha.

The Rev. Daniel Galas officiated. Burial was in Blair Cemetery.

Lucille Margaret Spanton was born December 18, 1915, in Prague, Nebraska to William and Lena Fishler Te Poel. She married Ray Spanton in Omaha on September 26, 1941.

She graduated from Mead High School in 1933. She worked for Omaha Public Schools Food Service for 19 years and had lived in Omaha for 40 years prior to her recent move to Blair.

She is survived by her husband, Ray of Blair; and one daughter, Mrs. Doug (Judy) Schmid, Blair. Two grandsons; one great-grandson; and three sisters, Mrs. Mark (Mildred) Barnett, Lincoln, Nebraska; Mrs. Rolland (Phyllis) Nelson, Mead, Nebraska; and Mrs. Dennis (Willa Mae) Alberts, Dassel, Minnesota, also survive her.

Tom Barrett, Doug Barrett, Glenn Nelson, Roger Nelson, Doug Schmid, and Jeff Schmid were pallbearers.

Campbell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements for the services.
