RAY SPANTON, 71

Ray E. Spanton, 71 of Blair, died January 21, 1987 at Immanuel Hospital in Omaha. He was a parking attendant at Easy Parking Company.

Services were held Saturday, January 24 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Francis Borgia Church. Father Daniel Galas officiated. A rosary was held at 6:30 p.m. January 23. Burial was in the Blair Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Fred Murphy, Raymond Holbrook, Dennis Holbrook, Daniel Holbrook, and Dale Holbrook.

Spanton was born in Walthill on April 27, 1915 to Roy and Zella (Murphy) Spanton.

He married Lucille M. TePoel on September 26, 1941 in Papillion.

Spanton was a member of St. Francis Borgia Church and of the Blair Eagles. He is survived by his mother, Zella Spanton, Blair; special friend Alma Bilderback, Fort Calhoun; brother Paul Spanton, Minneapolis, Minnesota; daughter Mrs. Doug (Judy) Schmid, Blair; two grandsons, one great-grandson and one great-granddaughter.
