ZELLA SPANTON, 97
Services for Zella Spanton, age 97 of Blair who died at the Good Shepherd Home July 7, 1992 will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 10 at the Campbell-Aman Funeral Home, with Rev. David Ludwick officiating. Burial will be in the Blair Cemetery.
Zella Mae Murphy was born July 27, 1894 at Matkins County, Missouri to Levi and Jane Rhodus Murphy. At the age of eight she moved to Bellevue, Nebraska with her parents.
She married Roy E. Spanton on August 8, 1912 at Pender, Nebraska. They resided in Burt County until 1932 at which time they moved to Blair.
He preceded her in death in June of 1975.
She moved to the Good Shepherd Home in 1976.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Roy; grandson, Larry; and daughter-in-law Lucille; three brothers and four sisters.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Roy and Jenny Spanton, Minneapolis, Minnesota; two granddaughters, Judy Schmid, Blair and Paula Bellin, St. Louis Park, Minnesota; five great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Campbell-Aman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
