Fern L. Aaberg, 85, of Blair, died Wednesday, March 28, 2007, in Omaha.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, March 31, at the First Christian Church in Blair, with interment in the Blair Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, March 30, at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home in Blair, with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m.

Fern L. Kephart was born March 24, 1922, in Pacific Junction, Iowa, to W.B. Claude and Listie (Smith) Kephart. She lived her childhood years in Iowa, where she met her future husband, Stanley Aaberg.

On June 19, 1943, the couple married in Portland, Ore.

Mrs. Aaberg worked at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Home for 20 years before retiring in 1984. She had been living with her daughter and son-in-law in Millard for the past several years.

She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Fonda and Jake Jaton of Millard, Ruby and William Tiede of Adrian, Minn., and Rose and Randy Rogge of Blair; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two step-grandsons and four step-great-grandchildren; sisters, Leona Plambeck of Blair and Lucille Allen of Knoxville, Tenn.; and brother and sister-in-law, gene and Ria Kephart of Council Bluffs, Iowa; and a dear and beloved sister-in-law, Ruby Grantham of Portland, Ore.; many nieces, nephews, and good friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Stanley; four brothers; and three sisters.
