Services for Clarence Arnold, 89 of Blair, who died at Crowell Memorial Home January 6, 1995 were Monday, January 9 at First United Methodist Church, with burial in the Blair Cemetery.

Clarence Arthur Arnold was born April 5, 1905 at Leigh, Nebraska, to Arthur and Grace Hatcher Arnold. He moved from Leigh to Kansas then to Minnesota in 1909, and moved to Blair in 1912 where he farmed for 62 years.

He had been a 4-H leader, served on the Summers School Board for 12 years, and was a charter member for the Washington County Farm Bureau.

On April 7, 1926 he married Helen Stevens in Council Bluffs, Iowa.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son Clayton, brother, Leonard, one granddaughter and one great-granddaughter.

Surviving him in death is his wife, Helen; son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Connie Arnold and daughter and son-in-law, Janet and Leonard Loftis, all of Herman, Nebraska; 10 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and one sister, Florence Piazza, Daly City, California.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
