Wayne R Sommerer, 67

Services for Wayne R. Sommerer, 67, who died at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha February 9, 1994 were held at Craig United Methodist Church Saturday, February 12. Burial, with military graveside rites conducted by the Craig American Legion Post No. 127, was in the Craig Cemetery.

Wayne R. Sommerer was born August 12, 1926 at rural Craig to Mathias F. and Gladys Wedergren Sommerer. He grew up in the rural Craig community and graduated from Oakland High School in 1943.

During World War II he served with the United States Army.

He was a member of the Alder Grove United Methodist Church, Craig American Legion Post No. 127, George Armstrong Masonic Lodge No. 241 of Craig and Fraternal Order of Eagles No. 200.

He married Marjorie A. Eriksen at Craig United Methodist Church. They made their home on a farm south of Craig.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister.

He is survived by his wife, Marjorie of Craig; a daughter, Kae Larson of Hooper; sons, W. Ken Sommerer of Fremont and Rory Kim Sommerer of Nickerson; four grandsons and one granddaughter.
