Ethel M. Sonderup, 75

Ethel M. Sonderup, 75, of Blair, died Saturday, March 15, 2008, at Methodist Hospital in Omaha.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 19, at First Lutheran Church. Interment will be in the Blair Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Tuesday, March 18, at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home, with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m.

Ethel Marie Metzler was born March 18, 1932, in Blair to Clyde and Clara (Iverson) Metzler. She graduated from Blair High School in 1949 and from Midland College in 1953. She taught for two years for Blair Community Schools.

On June 19, 1956, she married Harold Sonderup.

Mrs. Sonderup was an active member of First Lutheran Church in Blair.

She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Sonderup, sons and daughters-in-law, Paul and Judy Sonderup and Jon and Lisa Sonderup, all of Blair; two grandchildren; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ray and Betty Sonderup; sisters-in-law, Arlene and Kay Sonderup, all of Blair.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold.

Memorials are suggested to First Lutheran Church.
