Lois Maxine Soll, 71

Lois Maxine Soll, 71, passed away Sept. 20 at Methodist Hospital in Omaha.

Lois was born on Sept. 6, 1917, to Harry and Alma Williamson in Guthrie County, Iowa. She was united in marriage to Charles Booton in 1935. This union produced four children: Bill, Janyce, Joyce and Barbara. Lois was preceded in death by Charles in 1951.

In 1955, Lois was united in marriage to Darwin Soll. Lois was a retail clerk in several Blair businesses, before opening her own store, Darlos, in 1974.

Lois was a charter member of the Fireman’s Auxiliary and also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She was also a member of the Methodist Church.

Lois is survived by her husband Darwin, son Bill Booton, and daughter-in-law Helen, and daughter Barbara Chresman. Lois is also survived by seven grandchildren, Lauri Jo Rocesh, of Hawaii, Kathleen and Timothy Booton of Omaha; Steven Booton of New Mexico; Brad Ford and Amanda Chresman of Ohio.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents, a husband, a brother, and daughters Janyce and Joyce.

Services were held at First United Methodist Church in Blair on Friday, Sept. 23, at 11 a.m.

Pallbearers were: Reinhardt Hansen, Louis Murdock, Paul Nockels, Emmett Rogert, Earl Thompson, and Richard Trofholz.

Dr. Howard Bailey officiated the service.
