LAST RITES HELD APRIL 17 FOR RAYMOND SPRINGAN

Raymond Springan, 62, of north of Fontanelle was buried Saturday afternoon, April 17th, following services at Immanuel Lutheran Church, east of Winslow.

Mr. Springan was born July 9, 1908 at Hoople, North Dakota. He passed away at his home April 14th.

Baptized August 9, 1908 and confirmed July 8, 1923 in the Lutheran faith, Mr. Springan was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, and of the Lutheran Laymen’s League. He had served his church in many ways.

The Rev. Henry Stoll officiated at the service.

Interment, with Warne Funeral Home in charge, was in the Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were William Denison, Glenn Gnuse, Robert Johnson, Duane Laaker, Richard Schurman, and Kenneth Strenger.

Mr. Springan and Floma Hartung were married Sept. 6, 1936 at Hooper and lived in the Hooper community since.

Surviving are his wife, Floma; two sons, William of Fremont, and James at home; a daughter, Sonja (Mrs. David Bauers) of Fremont; two grandsons; two sisters, Mrs. Arthur (Rose) Hansen of Grand Forks, No. Dak.; and Mrs. Alda Towers of Stanwood, Wash.; two brothers, Albert of Hoople, No. Dak.; and Peter of Marysville, Wash.

Preceding him in death were a daughter, his parents and two brothers.
